Upcoming Storytelling Performance: “Legacy of Love” Loving fiercely is one of the categories that I explore in my upcoming performance. He provides the roadmap to facing the challenge of finding the courage to love … and love fiercely. Read the full poem at the end of this post. Later in the poem, he describes the transition to risking the vulnerability of love. Whyte’s poetry is known for its eclectic and spiritual bent. Whyte earned a degree in marine biology in Wales and for a time led naturalist tours and expeditions in the Galapagos Islands, the Andes, the Amazon region, and the Himalayas. My poem describes the the receiving end of that love, but David Whyte describes the giving of that fierce love. David Whyte was born and raised in Yorkshire his mother was Irish and his father English. I can’t remember if I had read his poem before I wrote mine, but the themes are universal. ![]() and immediately captivate me because of my own poem, Loving Fiercely.
